Brushing

Gently brush hair twice a day with brushes designed for hair extensions. Secure your hair at the root to prevent tension on the bond. Always brush well before wetting the hair. Regularly use leave-in conditioner or hair oil to keep the ends of the extensions soft.

*Pro tip*

When brushing your hair start from the bottom and work your way up. Do not be afraid to brush at your roots.

Washing

Wait 48 hours after installation or move-up to wash hair. Always wash with sulfate-free and paraben-free shampoo and conditioner. Brush hair thoroughly before wetting hair to remove any tangles. Never rub the ends of the hair together while washing. Gently hand wash: massage between the tape or bonds, separating them well to remove any residue and oils. Add conditioner only to the mid to ends of the hair and avoid allowing conditioner to sit on the bonds for a long period of time. Be sure to completely rinse away any shampoo and conditioner in between your wefts. Do not sleep with wet hair as it will cause tangling and knotting. Be aware that hard water may strip hair of natural color or nutrients.

Drying and Styling

Gently squeeze out excess water and blot with a cotton towel. Air-dried hair is fine, but for tape-ins and wefts, make sure to blow dry the tape area to ensure no moisture leaks into the tape, as this will cause lifting. Make sure that you dry the spaces between weft rows thoroughly. Do not aim blow dryer directly at the tape/bond area. Do not flat iron the tape/bonds.

Sleep

Sleep in a low braid or ponytail, using a soft scrunchie so it does not pull on the hair or bonds. Avoid sleeping in wet hair, as it may cause tangling and knotting.

*Pro tip*

Sleeping on a silk or satin pillowcase is preferred. Silk pillowcases create a smooth surface for your hair providing less friction, so you're less likely to wake up with frizz and tangles!

Activities

Before any physical activity, brush your hair to remove tangles. Then secure hair well in a braid or a loose, high bun. Wet hair before entering ocean, lake, or pool. Gently wash hair after exposure to chemicals, sweat, or natural bodies of water as it may react poorly with the color or integrity of the bond.

*Pro tip*

To extend the life and maintain the integrity of the extension hair, invest in a light leave-in moisturizer or hair oil to keep the extension hair ends from drying out. Dryness can occur because the extension hair has been cut from its blood source.
